David is a former military trainer with over 10 years personal training experience. He previously served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic and an Intelligence and Linguistic Analyst. His secondary responsibilities were to conduct the squadron’s training sessions that ranged from personal training with a 1:1 - 1:3 ratio to larger group classes formulated to lead 20-30 people through cardio blasting sessions designed to shape our nations warriors. When he exited the military he received a Personal Training Certification from the American Council on Exercise as well as a Sports Conditioning Specialization. He holds an Associate’s in Health Science from American Military University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics.
David's area of expertise is an emerging field known as Adaptive Kinesiology which primarily deals with how the body reacts to a particular set of exercises. While conducting training, David also employs extensive knowledge of physical anatomy, muscle fiber types, and potential hormonal and metabolic responses to the different types of exercise and uses that information to help his clients achieve their goals. Whether you’re looking to lose weight and build toned muscle or trying to find a way to push past a lifting plateau, David can help.
David is an avid outdoorsman who loves rock climbing, weight lifting, spending time with his wife and his German Sheppard puppy. He classifies himself as an uber nerd when it comes to science related articles. He spends a good portion of his free time reading medical journals and applying them to ongoing theories of weight loss and muscle dynamics. David is also a retired concert pianist who enjoys board games and random useless facts.
